Zivilisierte Schneelandschaft

In “Zivilisierte Schneelandschaft” (Civilized Snowlandscape), I document the beauty of nature
in its interplay with the man-made ski-lifts.

Fascinating and at the same time absurd photographs come into existence
in a space that is exclusively used for pleasure.

The originally hostile but stunning nature becomes an amusement park under the sky.

The first photographs were taken in France in 2006 during my study
of Photo Design at Lette Verein Berlin. It is an ongoing project.

The landscapes are photographed on Dia 6x7 with a Mamiya 7II.
